The black and white tree series is a collection of photographs about the giants among us.  They tower above us and give us the oxygen we breath; shade us from the heat and shelter us from the harsh winds.  As any trip to Central Park in New York City, or any other major city in the world will tell you, a good tree grove creates quiet and solitude in the middle of our busy and loud world. In these images, I am trying to capture something about these trees among us beyond the bark and leaves we know and take for granted.
